Open source first. AI when it earned the right.

OpenTek Solutions LLC began as an open-source software consulting firm. The work was Java architectures that had to stay up: service buses, messaging, OSGi runtimes, and integration systems for companies that could not afford theater.

Leadership

OpenTek is owned by Heath Kesler. Engagements are remote-first, with on-site only when the work requires it. Credentials, publications, and speaking history are collected on the Founders page.

The 2024 turn

Since 2024 OpenTek has specialized in AI development solutions: helping companies use AI to develop net-new software faster, and setting up the environments that let teams bring legacy systems under AI-assisted development. That is not a rebrand. It is the same architectural discipline applied to a new class of tools.

RevealSignal

The same year, we built RevealSignal so businesses could see whether AI assistants recommend them. It is the AI-visibility module of the OpenTek Signal Intelligence Platform — CompetitorSignal, MarketGap, and Signal Advisor sit beside it. The consulting practice and the product share a point of view: measure what is true, then do the next useful thing. The public product page is /revealsignal.
